Don’t Threaten Someone or Their Family in Email

If you want to find out about a product’s quality or a company’s reputation you can search for Review sites.

Review sites are nothing new but the important thing is to keep an watchful eye out for anyone tarnishing your name or praising your name.

But what should you do when someone leaves a bad review about you on a review site? The best thing to do is apologize directly to the author and leave your apology also on the review site.

Incredible Agents is one Real Estate Agent review site and about a week ago a visitor left a scathing review of an Agent in Texas.? Read the Review

Now at the Incredible Agents blog they posted a threatening email from the Agent in the review who wanted the review removed.? Read the email -> How not to get a review deleted off IncredibleAgents.com

I love this part:

I know all about you and your family.

You are in the process of making a serious mistake.

Making a threat against someone’s family is plain STUPID. True, he didn’t make any specific threat but the threat is implied and therefore his is a pitiful agen.

This agent should lose his license FOR EVER!
And then he should be nominated for the Darwin Awards of Business. He has just lost ALL credibility as a professional.

Remember when you send someone an email it will be saved for all eternity. And now that the email was posted to a website it can be found on the web also for ever.

Would that have used the review site as a platform for soliciting feedback, he would have not run into this problem. This would have been one bad apple in a sea of positive reviews.

I never really understood when people talk trash or bad about others over the internet. I know the reason! It’s because no one can find them and they can’t be physically attacked. Make this world a better place and be nice!

There goes an entire career?s worth of real estate branding with such an insensitive retaliation! When you have established yourself as a brand in any field, it is important to remember the responsibilities that come along with the brand image. The agent in question has got a lot of work chalked out for him with this bad move.
